Advancing Epilepsy Care: Fall Installments of ASSFN Webinars

ASSFN’s comprehensive Epilepsy Surgery educational series continues this fall with the final installments of practical, case-based learning opportunities designed to advance expertise in contemporary epilepsy surgery. Following the success of our first three webinars on surgical decision-making, intracranial EEG and surgical planning, and neuromodulation, the series now turns to resective and ablative techniques before concluding with a look toward the future of the field.
Join us for our upcoming webinar, Epilepsy Surgery Part 4: Resective and Ablative Treatments, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 7:00 PM Central Time. This session will provide a practical review of modern surgical approaches, including temporal lobectomy techniques and operative nuances, laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT), and less commonly performed procedures such as hemispherotomy. Expert faculty will share technical pearls, patient selection strategies, and decision-making considerations that can be immediately applied in clinical practice.
The series will conclude with Epilepsy Surgery Part 5: The Future of Epilepsy Surgery, on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 7:00 PM Central Time. This forward-looking session will explore emerging therapies poised to transform the treatment of epilepsy, including cell-based therapies, gene therapy, and incisionless technologies such as focused ultrasound. Faculty will discuss the current state of these innovations, ongoing clinical research, and how these advances may shape the next generation of epilepsy care. Registration will open soon!
Whether you attended the earlier sessions or are joining us for the first time, these webinars provide an outstanding opportunity to learn from leaders in the field while staying current on the rapidly evolving landscape of epilepsy surgery. View recordings of webinars on ASSFN YouTube Channel.
We look forward to seeing you there!
