Program’s goals and objectives

The fellowship is dedicated to training the next generation of academic Stereotactic and Functional neurosurgeons. The program provides comprehensive exposure to cutting-edge techniques and emphasizes gaining familiarity with advanced technologies such as robotic systems, laser interstitial thermal therapy, and the complete spectrum of neuromodulation devices. Fellows will gain proficiency in evaluating and surgically treating patients with epilepsy, movement disorders, and chronic pain, while placing a strong emphasis on long-term follow-up care and patient well-being. Another crucial aspect of the fellowship is learning the delicate balance between clinical practice, education, and research to become successful academic neurosurgeons. By actively engaging in research projects and participating in multi-institutional collaborations, graduates will be well-prepared to contribute significantly to the advancement of neurosurgical care and improve patient outcomes.
