Functional Neurosurgery Webinars and Podcasts Focus on Transitioning to Practice
To promote free and easily accessible educational resources about functional neurosurgery, the ASSFN holds a live online webinar every eight weeks and publishes a quarterly podcast. This year, the focus of the webinar and podcast series is transitioning to practice, which is particularly valuable for senior residents, fellows, and junior attendings going through this critical and pivotal period of their careers but also includes many pearls that are relevant to functional neurosurgeons of all levels.
Engaging Educational Topics & Format
Topics include navigating the job search, contract negotiation, building a practice, DBS targeting technology, entrepreneurship and many others. Webinars feature live online lectures given by distinguished leaders in the field with plentiful practical experience to share. Attendees are encouraged to actively participate throughout the session, promoting fruitful discussions among the group.
Podcasts are audio recordings that capture thoughtful and candid exchanges between trainee hosts and featured attending guest speakers. The podcasts reflect a preceding webinar topic on functional neurosurgery.
