Program’s goals and objectives

Our objective is to train experienced neurosurgeons in the complete aspects of Functional Neurosurgery.  Fellows are expected to develop a clinical mastery of all aspects of deep brain stimulation surgery (for movement orders and other indications), epilepsy surgery, functional stereotactic radiosurgery, complex pain management including trigeminal neuralgia, and the application of cortical and subcortical physiological mapping to other intracranial surgeries.  In addition, we expect our fellows to identify an area of research focus where they begin to contribute to the field of Functional Neurosurgery.
